Leucopis americana Malloch
Moved from Leucopis. Tentatively ID'd from specimen, now a photo-voucher. Thanks John.

(Worth mentioning four papers were published with redescriptions and new species by V.N. Tanasijtshuk, of which I have only two)

Out of curiosity, do you remember what plant the aphids were on?

Re: Leucopis
Hi, Brad. Back in 2018, Chamaemyiidae specialist Stephen Gaimari asked to use a couple of these photos in a publication, and he mentioned that this fly is not Leucopis americana but, rather, "one of the unknowns" in that genus. I forgot to move the images up to genus at the time, but have now done so. I never did figure out what kind of tree it was on.

Cool
Thanks John. I'll have to try to get the right name for you when I get a chance.
