Biston looks better than Phae
Biston looks better than Phaeoura, considering the comparative lack of warts and ridges and the orange spiracles (though the strongly bifid head is not clear from this angle).

Looks like...
Looks like it could be related / in that genus. Whatever these are, I've also seen them feeding on coffeeberry (Rhamnus californica) and toyon (Heteromeles arbutifolia)
