Gender?
How do you know that this is a female?

Sex of Moths
With moths the antennae are distinctive. The males have feathery antennae, to follow the pheromone trail of the female. The females have simple antennae. (You have me worried. Maybe, is this not always the case?)
Jerry

Not always the case. :)
Many moths are dimorphic, but some are not. Some species have males that do not have branched antennae. I suggest that you remove the label, unless you know the gender for sure. (egg-laying) If you check that genus, none of the other images have a gender label.
In other cases, the gender differences might be listed on the info tabs.
