Yes, I agree. I have been looking into this specimen and got to the same place. There is an old records that never got picked up in the Beetles of Canada but I hope to look at the specimen when I can get to that collection. As for species I can only guess as the most likely is only known from females and I have yet to try and dissect this one

might this be C. obesa? would be lovely

looks really nice and distinctive, never seen one like this
