New Genus - Eulimosina ochripes - Spelobia ochripes - male

New Genus - Eulimosina ochripes - Spelobia ochripes - Male
Galena / Gateway Park, Jo Daviess County, Illinois, USA
Size: ~2mm
This is a pretty uncommon fly in the prairie samples I've been examining. This single specimen came from a flight intercept trap. The yellow head is pretty distinctive and only seen elsewhere in Pterogramma paliceps.

This is the only species in this genus in North America. It also occurs in Europe.
