Which Bee Fly Am I?

Which Bee Fly Am I?
Denton County, Denton County, Texas, USA
May 13, 2017
Size: Large fly: 1" length
The most interesting feature of this bee fly is the long spear-like proboscis that is nearly as long as its body length and appears to be stiff, non-retractable. If not Greater Bee Fly, what then? Needs ID; many thanks.
