small bugs infesting Yucca plants - Halticotoma valida
Santa Claus, Spencer County, Indiana, USA
May 17, 2017
Size: 2 mm
Hundreds if not thousands of these are crawling all over our large Yucca plants. It looks like they have mouths that suck food from the yucca leaves. They are small (2 to 3 mm) One antenna was broken while trying to photograph.

Looks like the Yucca Plant Bug

Welcome to BugGuide!

Thanks
Hi,
It looks like these little guys get around. Do they specialize on sucking sap from yucca bushes or am I going to have to protect the other plants in my garden?

They're yucca specialists
