Watertown, Middlesex County, Massachusetts, USA

Size: 4.0 - 5.0 cm
Spotted in my garden on a Geranium maculatum flower. Flew onto rhododendron bush where it remained for a bit. Some of the geranium pollen (I believe) can be seen on fuzzy thorax). First time I have seen this dragonfly in my yard. Photo taken at about 11:55 AM EDT.
