Moved
Moved from Lady Beetles.

Hippodamia sp.
Aberrant H. convergens are exceptionally rare, although not impossible. Conversely, the evenness of markings along with missing pronotum markings, is quite common in H. quinquesignata.

But, hard to be sure either way -- if quinquesignata was not so rarely recorded from Texas (if at all?), I'd have voted in that direction.

Thanks
That's very interesting. I've only recently been looking more closely at Lady Beetles. I've seen many Convergent, some Seven Spotted, and a couple of Polished so far. This one just struck me as odd and I couldn't find a matching photo.

Thank you for the information!

Convergent Lady Beetle
It appears to be a Convergent Lady Beetle, Hippodamia convergens, with very light marks on the pronotum.

Additional Photo available
A side view is available, showing 6 approximately equal sized spots. I don't know how to add a second photo of the same insect.
