Mint Marauder Mystery: Solved - Platynota rostrana

A Caterpillar in the top of a mint stem exhibiting chewed, wilted leaves. This same drama has played out in my small patch of mint for the last five yeaers. See image here for another individual which I believe to be an older instar in the same small patch of mint:
