Timema 'Cuesta Ridge'...dorsal view of terminalia - Timema - male - female

Timema 'Cuesta Ridge'...dorsal view of terminalia - Timema - Male Female
Cuesta Ridge, San Luis Obispo County, California, USA
April 11, 2015
Detail of terminalia in dorsal view:

Male terminalia at left...with both cerci brownish and mildly forked apically; the sinistral (left) cercus narrowed near middle, somewhat widened on inner edge toward base, with a small, linear protuberance emanating from the inner base; dextral (right) cercus flaring more apically, with a larger, triangular, apico-mesal flange; the ribbon-like intradextral process with undulate lateral edges, narrowed at middle; distal edge transverse-truncate; and a smooth outer margin (no apparent teeth).
Female terminalia at lower right...with 10th (terminal) tergite widely pentagonal and apically emarginate; cerci green and somewhat mottled with with on outer faces; more-or-less parallel-sided and obliquely truncate at apex; with a distinctly gill-like texture on the interior edges.
Comparing both male and female terminalia here to figures dipicting terminalia of the currently described species...the structure here would appear to fall somewhere between californicum and petita/landelsensis...which are also among the most proximate taxa geographically.
