Dark elaterid - Tetralimonius maculicollis

Dark elaterid - Tetralimonius maculicollis
Letts Lake Campground, Colusa County, California, USA
June 3, 2017
Size: ca 5 mm
Beat from Quercus kelloggii. Collected for B.M.

Moved, cleaned these up with the help of a Limonius guy
by the way I never received this specimen, even though it apparently was collected for me :-D

Moved from Limonius ornatulus.

Thanks -
for the correction. According to my records, you should indeed have this specimen - from my 4 June 2017 letter: "The first beetle was beat from Quercus kelloggii and corresponds to Bug Guide image: 1378781 and which you tentatively identified as Limonious ornulatus". :)

But maybe it got lost somewhere along the way?

Moved, thinking Limonius ornatulus
a highly variable species

Moved from Beetles.

Sending this one and two others I posted today, soon.
