I have never seen this type of beetle and it's pretty blue coloring . I flipped a log that was embedded in the dry dirt to find them . I hope that these 2 photos are enough for identification . I wish that I would have taken a lot more photos ... should I have flipped one over and taken a photo ? Thanks for any replies , Beth

They belong to the family Tenebrionidae, but I don't know more
