Tmarus angulatus? - Tmarus

Tmarus angulatus? - Tmarus
Frisco, Dare County, North Carolina, USA
June 3, 2017
Size: Less than an inch
Found this little one sitting on a mixing bowl. The eye placement seems to indicate Thomisidae, and while looking I was thinking it looked an awful lot like Tmarus angulatus. When the camera got too close, it would raise the front legs up in a threatening kind of stance, but would then run around the bowl and flatten with the front legs out.

I've not ever seen a Thomisidae that was shaped like this, so I'm hoping someone will have some clarification!

Yes, definitely Tmarus. We haven't read about the different species, so unfortunately can't confirm the species ID, but maybe someone can. Nice shot!

Thanks!
At least it's one step closer! First time I've seen one in the OBX, it was really exciting.
