Comment -
from Jean-Francois Roch at iNat:

"Identification of Arhyssus species in the field is impossible for two reasons. Often it is necessary to examine the underside of the insect for certain characteristics, for example, the length of the beak. Other features require examination by stereomicroscope in the laboratory. There are 11 species of Arhyssus in California.
My reference is: Chopra, N.P. 1968. A revision of the genus Arhyssus Stål. Annals of the Entomological Society of America 61(3): 629-655".

I know your ID is tentative, v, but might you comment on why you think it's this species? Or comment on the iNat link? Thanks!
