This wasp was absolutely frenetic, chasing over a cultivated Angelica. Length estimated. This is a first BugGuide record for North Carolina. (I won't add any more for distributional reasons.)

As Nick Fensler mentions below, this is a fresh female.

This looks like a VERY "young" female. Some of the female E. fulvicornis in Ohio that I've captured already have extensive wing wear.
