Single individual resting on leaf in native wildflower garden. Face marking and antenna branching are different from previously identified S. willistoni. Gender difference?

This is a female
...from "eyes dichoptic" (= well-separated at the top of the head)". In males the eyes are "holoptic" (= contiguous, medially, at the top of the head). Those characters work for distinguishing females and males throughout the tribe Cerioidini, and for many other groups within Diptera...though not all!)
