Cockroach maybe? - Parcoblatta

Cockroach maybe? - Parcoblatta
Newark , New Castle County, Delaware, USA
June 13, 2017
Size: 1'-2'
Found one outside at night time by my outside light. Probably about an inch or two big. I shined a flash light on it and it did not run like a normal cockroach. I later sprayed ortho home defense and found a dead one outside, which is in the picture I took. I believe its a cockroach of some sort but I more want to know what type or if it's a threat to an infestation.

Moved

It is indeed a male wood roach
Genus Parcoblatta

yes roach
but looks to me like one of the native wood roaches that cannot infest homes. One of the roach experts will know for sure
