Shape of the males claspers (cerci) are used to differentiate the clubtails, especially needed for differentiating the Dusky, Ashy and Lancet. Dusky (here) have a protrusion seen dorsally/above and when viewed laterally (from the side) a spine can be seen projecting ventraly/down.
