metallic green bee - Agapostemon texanus - female

metallic green bee - Agapostemon texanus - Female
Bellingham, Whatcom County, Washington, USA
June 17, 2017
There are only two possibilities for an all-green female in this region: A. texanus and A. femoratus. But A. femoratus has only been confirmed inland, not along the coast of the Salish Sea, where A. texanus is common. See pp. 8, 11 of Bees of Northwestern America: Agapostemon (http://ir.library.oregonstate.edu/xmlui/bitstream/handle/1957/8697/tec_bul_125.pdf?sequence=1).
