Tiny Hopping Insect - Gelastocoris oculatus

Tiny Hopping Insect - Gelastocoris oculatus
2 miles north of Colmesneil, Tyler County, Texas, USA
June 19, 2017
Size: 7-10 mm
I was walking up the creek and this little insect hopped from either alongside the water or from the water across my path. I thought at first it was a tiny toad or frog because it kept hopping...unless it was actually flying short distances and appeared to be hopping. Estimated size is less than 10 mm.
