Pheidole obtusospinosa? - Pheidole obtusospinosa

Pheidole obtusospinosa? - Pheidole obtusospinosa
Nogales, Santa Cruz County, Arizona, USA
June 18, 2017
Observed at 7:00 AM.
The reproductive ants appeared to be preparing for their flight. They quickly went hiding after I approached them with my camera, but some returned a couple of minutes later. Soldiers and workers immediately covered my clothes and I ignored them knowing, from previous experience, that they did not sting nor had a powerful bite.
