wingspan could be near 15mm
Upper size limit for the species is 5.2mm long, 4mm wide,
(

)
so a large individual with its wings spread could have a 12-14mm wingspan.
I'm poking around these old
P. 14-punctata
images because I just learned how to sex them by external characteristics, and couldn't resist trying to make sense of the reported size here.

What you are seeing is one beetle
with its elytra (wingcovers or forewings) raised like the doors on a Delorean car. To me it appears to be *much* smaller, both by reason of the flower petal tip it is on and the resemblance of its elytral markings to one of the smaller yellow & black lady*beetles.
If this image accompanied a more identifiable shot, it would be a suitable addition to bugguide. However, in view of its lack of identifiable features, it will be of little use in the guide. Sending to Frass.
