How is this species separated from E. brevis? I can't seem to find any information about the two species, but they appear to be separated on BugGuide based on something.

Thanks for the inquiry, Paul! My ID was based on info I got from iNaturalist, but that info appears to be incorrect. The key here suggests this is E. brevis because "mesonotum largely shining black" (instead of pollinose as in albius and propinqua).
