Backyard Cosmopterix - Cosmopterix pulchrimella

Backyard Cosmopterix - Cosmopterix pulchrimella
Lincoln, Lancaster County, Nebraska, USA
June 2, 2017
Size: 4 mm
Sorry, came out a touch shiny. Seen in early to mid morning. Actively flying and then "dancing" spectacularly on several leaves (catnip and white snakeroot). Finally was able to get a picture of it sitting still. Size estimated, but should be pretty close. Did not exceed 5 mm for sure. Flew off once I gave measuring it a try though. If more detail needed on any part of the moth for ID, please let me know. I notice at least one guide page gives detail on antenna pattern for a species (???!), which I can obtain from one photo and post if found to actually be useful.

Worn, but distinctive. One of the more common Cosmopterix spp.

Thanks!
That makes me feel good: that was one of the top choices I had down on my notes. Yes, I guess it does look kind of worn.
