Little beetles - Chilocorus bipustulatus

Little beetles - Chilocorus bipustulatus
Manteca, San joaquin County, California, USA
August 23, 2007
Size: half centimeter
I found this lil' guy on the underside of a Willow like shrub . Later , I found another one of the same kind but a little smaller . These lil' guys are not a common sighting around here probably because they are so small . Is this a Tortoise beetle ? Thanks for any comment , Beth

Yes, no doubt about ID!
:-)

Red-spotted Lady Beetle
It might be Chilocorus bipustulatus, an Eurasian (introduced?) species.
