From the underside we would say
Lophocampa maculata, see
, but we never know what additional similar creatures you might have out there.

Orange and black caterpillar
Thanks for your comment. I got another ID on my caterpillar the other day as a Spotted Tussock Moth larvae (Lophocampa Maculata)from John Davis. I also posted a side view on the ID request page so maybe you can see that one too. This caterpillar was on a willow in my yard and I only noticed it because I was trimming up some bushes.
