Paper Wasp - Polistes aurifer - male

Paper Wasp - Polistes aurifer - Male
Chandler, Maricopa County, Arizona, USA

Polistes apachus?

Moved
Moved from Paper Wasps. Looks very much like apachus but this species does not occur in Arizona, except in the extreme west, along the Colorado River. Aurifer from south-central Arizona often have yellow stripes on the thorax, as apachus.
