Moth - Homochlodes fritillaria
Corbett, Delaware County, New York, USA
May 28, 2017

Moved from Tacparia.

Thanks Hugh, I thought that I had moved this to Homochlodes.

There is no eastern Tacparia
There is no eastern Tacparia that looks like this moth, especially with the white spots in the pm line. Similarly no Tacparia has the dark blotch in the middle of the pm line. These marks are a good fit for Homochlodes fritillaria, an uncommon but regular species on Long Island.

Just a heads up
This was in the Catskills

Moved from Geometrid Moths.
