Strategus aloeus, female
This is Strategus aloeus. The only other species that occurs POTENTIALLY within this range is S. cessus which is very different in that the clypeus is strongly squared and the pronotum is generally punctate without the WIDE rugose band posteriorly that is pinched in the middle as in S. aloeus (which this specimen clearly shows). This is a fresher specimen based on the overall gloss and early season date, so the clypeus would not be strongly worn. Additionally, the elytral sutural stria are a bit too strong for S. cessus.
