This was a very noisy flyer! seemed to be ctive about 1 hour before to a little after sunset! Is this the male ?

X. tabaniformis -
and yes, this is a male. Considering the extensive light-colored vestiture, I'd say this is ssp.
androleuca
, which also makes sense geographically. Females look like
X. tabaniformis orpifex
, but can be placed geographically.
