Red-eyed Bumblebee - Centris caesalpiniae - Female
Boyce-Thompson State Park, Pinal County, Arizona, USA
June 30, 2017
Size: 1 inch
This guy was flying with Bombus fervidus, about the same size, and superficially resembling them except for the red eyes. I suspect it may be some kind of flower fly? Thanks.

This might be a female Centris caesalpiniae. (south-western) If confirmed, a first for Arizona, congrats!
