Small leaf mantid - Gonatista grisea

Size: 3 cm
I spotted this small mantid by chance on a nighttime stroll. It was in a forested area close to the shoreline. I had never seen a mantid like this before. I thought that it maybe could have been the juvenile variant of an adult species, but I'm not sure.
