Although you have the species correct, it is a Wedge-shaped Beetle, family Ripiphoridae.

They do resemble Mordelids, and are often found together.

In general, it is better to leave the size field blank unless an accurate measurement can be given. I would say at least 90% of beetles are less than 1".
