I think its either Physocephala sagittaria or marginata

Species possibilities
Nice find. It's either P. marginata or P. texana. (Note that P. sagittaria has a solidly infuscated discal cell.)

To conclusively determine which of the two this is, one needs to see the facial grooves...see "fg" in labelled image below:

 

The facial grooves are dark in P. marginata (and P. sagittaria); but they are pale in P. texana. The ranges of both species include your general area.

Just bumped into this again
I still can't determine whether it's texana vs. marginata...but wanted to say it's a splendid photograph! :-)
