Euacidalia brownsvillea - Protoproutia laredoata

or maybe Protoproutia laredoata?

.
Hello Dave,

I finally had a very good specimen last night which I will send to BOLD. They have very good DNA on P. rusticaria, so my results should confirm which species we have here. Their results for P. laredoata are pretty sketchy.

As Kyle commented here, all of the BOLD tested Protoproutia speciens for rusticaria were from this area. However, ours do not have a lighter hind wing.

Just sent off a microplate, so it will take a while for me to get enough specimens for another plate. Sorry.

Moved tentatively
According to McDunnough (1939), P. rusticaria is "very similar to laredoata Cass. but with the basal two-thirds of both wings much paler and with, in consequence, better defined maculation." Moved from Protoproutia.

Moved so all three of these images are together
I'm not convinced this is the correct genus, but I'd like to keep them together so I can find them later after I do some sleuthing. Moved from Geometrid Moths.
