Size: Rougly size of US quarter
Locals call these 'jumping spiders.' I've had several suggestions this is a wolf spider, but there is a much, much larger spider in the area locals call a wolf spider. This spider was on a broad-leafed plant in a garden.

Yes, this appears to be Pisaurina mira, from what I can see of the patterning.

First thought is that it is a nursery web spider
on her nursery. Do you have a dorsal image you can add?
