An adult emerged from this in August
It looks like the ones I've been calling Cameraria ostryarella from Ostrya, but also like the ones I've reared from Corylus that should be C. corylisella (including your D751 and one from MA). These are the two species that have been reported from Carpinus in the literature, and it may not really be possible to distinguish them without dissection. It may be a while before I get these sorted out.
