Ichneumon wasp? - Tenthredo obscuripennis
Deadfall Meadow on Mount Eddy, Border of Siskiyou and Trinity County, California, USA
July 12, 2017
On flowers along a creek that flows through a large meadow full of blooming flowers at about 7,000 feet. There were many butterflies and dragonflies there. I think the second image is of the same insect species, but I am not positive.
