Robber Fly - Laphria

Robber Fly - Laphria
Cades Cove, Blount County, Tennessee, USA
July 16, 2017

Moved
Moved from Laphria cinerea. The scutellar bristles are black in cinerea (yellow here), and it has pale pile on the end of the abdomen (none visible here). This looks like a worn flavicollis, but in any case, not cinerea.

Moved
Moved from Robber Flies.

Looks
like a Laphria cinerea shot in light that makes it look much darker.

Moved
Moved from ID Request.
