Size: 1-2 cm
Odd (to me) fringes between abdominal segments. Pale beige colour throughout.

Bee on Swamp Iris
The colouration and abdomen fit very well to what I observed.
And yes. there was a large patch of "Pickerel Weed" nearby.
This was on the marshy shore of a small lake.
You are probably correct.
