Possible Bombus griseocollis in New Brunswick - Bombus griseocollis
Moncton, Westmorland County, New Brunswick, Canada
July 13, 2017
Could this indeed be a Brown-belted Bumblebee? If so, new for NB on Bug Guide and perhaps significant in that they seem to be somewhat scarce in this neck of the woods. Several similar individuals were seen and there were a lot of bees present, so difficult to say whether any were of the same individual. I will post a few images separately of potentially different individuals in the hopes that one is diagnostic. Feel free to frass those that are extraneous. I need better pics. Also seen were B. rufocinctus, B. borealis, B. bimaculatus, B. ternarius AND B. impatiens, so definitely a busy spot.
