I do want to know what kind of bee this is. But it was a fun pose.

Cute. And so like a bee.
I've seen a waving mantis and a grasshopper. Both were looking straight at the camera. The bumble bee, however, keeps right at its work, while still managing to make an apparently friendly gesture.

Is this a clone?

I have seen them doing that, it must be a defensive posture.
In fact, Sean coaxed one onto doing it. See his video. I was trying the same thing this morning.

It's a match!
Hi Beatriz,

Thank you for the ID. I saw Sean's video and laughed. I would never touch one. But am surprised to hear it is a defensive posture. It also look to me like he wanted his tummy rubbed. LOL.

Thanks again,
