Clear-winged Moth - Albuna pyramidalis
Obstruction Point, Olympic National Park, Clallam County, Washington, USA
Sorry, only got the one aspect.

Moved from Clearwing Moths.

Moth ID
Albuna pyramidalis (fireweed borer)

Fireweed borer
Thank you. I photographed this species last year in the same general area, but this individual, or at least this photograph, looks more colorful.

There are several species of fireweed in the area, from very small to the usual roadside tall species. Specialists at the Missouri Botanical Garden have studied them. I don't know if there the relationship between this moth and the various fireweeds have been studied.
