I've contacted John Pinto, he says
These are interesting Margarethe! I hope you collected them. It probably is Pseudozonitis brevis - but the color form, if it is brevis, has not been taken in S. Arizona - it typically would have vittate elytra. Were you collecting in sand hills?


This species is VERY close to P. vigilans and I would have to look at the head more closely - and ideally the genitalia if one is a male.
