Midge? - Tanypus grodhausi

Midge? - Tanypus grodhausi
Barstow, San Bernardino County, California, USA
April 17, 2017
Size: 5mm
Have spent too much time to ID this. What is diagnostic is this small 'brown' center in the middle of the Thorax. I have not found anything in the Midge or Mosquito suborders and families. Need help on where to place it.

Found the Species
Thank you for the direction John. I was looking at it many time in Tanypus but felt uncomfortable. Well I looked again and found a specimen photographed in San Bernardino County. The author had is as Tanypus grodhousi. It looks just like me specimens.

Again Thank you for the direction. Sometimes you can look at things so much you loose it in the forest. A second pair of eyes always helps.
