Try looking at the existing images of the Ectobius genus, imports from overseas that are apparently becoming more abundant.

 
Ectobius lapponicus
Thanks Eric. It does look like Ectobius lapponicus. It greatly resembles Photo#116530. Perhaps it is a female, said to be lighter and rounder than the male.

 
why not Ectobius pallidus?
looks very similar to this image IDed as E. pallidus by Donald Chandler; females generally have very short wings that do not cover the abdomen, so I'd say this is a male
