what am I? - Ormia brevicornis
Big Island, Bedford County, Virginia, USA

this looks to be an immature stage of a fly ... does anyone know what this is?

Moved
Moved from Tachinidae.

Ormia
Probably a female Ormia. I will check later.

anything with wings is an adult
fly immatures are maggots

Moved from ID Request.

Thanks!
It just has an odd look to it, wasn't sure if the Diptera order had an in between nymph stage like some other orders.
