Highrise Spider

Highrise Spider
Chicago, Cook County, Illinois, USA
July 21, 2017
Size: Approx 1inch overall
Was able to get some images of the top and side. The spider was spinning a web that in completion will be around 2ft in diameter. The picture was taken around 8pm central time, the spider is more active in the cooler weather it seems.

I also saw a medium sized spider of the same species, this is not the same as the "baby" spiders I saw the day before. I presume the larger one in the photo is a female, and then the male was about the size of a dime.

Frassed
Moved from Orb Weavers. These are not needed for the Guide.

Sorry, still not enough pixels to be able to see
and you need to overexpose your image so we see the spider and not the buildings. A guess would be genus Larinioides.
