, but characteristic flattened 3rd antennal segment is not visible on your image. Not flattened, or just view on the sharp edge?

Yes it does look like the squash bug. I didn't get any closer to him, this was all I saw. I was actually photographing a ladybug on another leaf when I saw him. Thanks, conniei
